
Head of Strategic Business Planning (SBP) and Corporate Sustainability Vicente de Lima II began with a look back at 2025, reviewing the company’s performance and reflecting on lessons learned. This allowed leaders to reflect on challenges, acknowledge progress, and gain insights that would shape decisions and actions in the year ahead.
The conference then shifted to focus on First Balfour’s direction for 2026. SBP and Corporate Communications Officer Ronald Liu presented the strategic outlook, providing insights on the evolving construction industry landscape. Wrapping up his presentation, he highlighted the importance of focusing on opportunities that align with the company’s risk appetite and capabilities, winning through strong execution and local knowledge, and protecting margins through tighter project controls.
Subsequently, President and Chief Operating Officer Joval Pantangco discussed the company’s business direction, highlighting financial performance and operational priorities. He concluded his presentation by coining the acronym BUILD, representing the company’s commitment to strengthening its fundamental capabilities. He shared “Build transparency early, Understand risk and complexity deeply, Institutionalize learning and systems, Lead with ownership and accountability, and Deliver with discipline and excellence,” encouraging leaders to embrace these principles and drive the company forward.
Turning to First Balfour’s ongoing initiatives, the conference featured a series of updates aligned with the company’s business direction. Procurement and Materials Management Head Edwin Constantino shared insights on procurement process review, Deputy Sector Head for Energy-Geothermal John Peralta discussed project process improvement, and Innovations Head Limuel Banaag highlighted progress on the company’s digital transformation roadmap and Construction Management System updates.

Leaders collaborate in a group workshop to identify key challenges, define actionable initiatives for 2026, and strengthen leadership behaviors to drive organizational goals.
In his closing remarks, Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Anthony Fernandez emphasized, “The digital world is upon us, and we are pioneering—being the first company in the Philippines to adopt ACC [Autodesk Construction Cloud], a move that I am confident will improve the way we work. I see a very bright future ahead, but it will require active involvement and ownership from each of you as leaders.”
As the day drew to a close, leaders were challenged to embrace a Future Bound mindset, leading with ownership, accountability, and innovation as the company moves forward into 2026.
