T1 Rentals, First Balfour’s heavy equipment rental business, set up its Acreos heavy equipment simulator during the first leg of Philconstruct 2024 at the SMX Convention Clark last April 4-6, 2024. The simulator was used to assess equipment operators against the TESDA National Certification Level II (NCII) for truck-mounted cranes and hydraulic excavators.

In partnership with the Association of Carriers and Equipment Lessors (ACEL), the assessment drew in 27 operators where 23 successfully passed and were immediately given TESDA NCII certificates upon completion.
T1 Rentals’ simulators were first used as competency assessment tools in November 2023 following TESDA’s recognition of First Balfour as early adopters in the application of Extended Reality (XR) technology in technical vocational education and training (TVET) delivery. Since then, 66 operators have already received their TESDA NCII certificates upon passing their assessment using these hi-tech simulators.

It was during Philconstruct Manila at the World Trade Center in November 2023 when T1 Rentals’ simulator was first used as a TESDA NCII competency assessment tool
With the goal to improve brand awareness, T1 Rentals’ Philconstruct booth also showcased its diverse equipment rental fleet for earth moving, lifting, industrial, transport, and hauling solutions. The division will join the Visayas leg at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel in June 2024 and the Mindanao leg at the SMX Convention Center Davao in September 2024.
