Response to Challenges
The Head of Sales and Marketing at Chemrez Technologies, Mr. Francis Dela Cruz, presented Biodiesel as a primary solution to fuel instability. Derived from local coconut oil, it reduces lifecycle CO2 emissions by up to 80% while insulating the supply chain from volatile foreign crude prices. By aligning with the FUTURE Framework, Chemrez focuses on Resource Efficiency and Empowering Communities, turning a standard fuel requirement into a sustainable competitive advantage.

Efficiency
Synthesizing the forum’s core message, Vice President and Head of Procurement and Materials Management Edwin P. Constantino underscored that First Balfour’s Future Bound strategy for 2026 relies on the powerful synergy between internal transformation and external partnership. He detailed how the company is sharpening its own efficiency through digitized systems and succession planning, yet he remained firm in the belief that “we cannot win alone.” Likening the gathered vendors to an essential “pit crew,” he highlighted the day’s featured innovations—from Atlanta’s diverse infrastructure products and A. Hartrodt’s logistical strategies to Chemrez’s sustainable biofuels—as the keys to remaining resilient against global supply chain disruptions. Ultimately, Mr. Constantino framed the collective ecosystem as the company’s greatest strength, expressing total confidence that by working in lockstep with its partners, First Balfour will surmount any challenge and continue on its path toward a bigger and brighter future.

First Balfour President and COO Joval A. Pantangco Jr. expresses gratitude by likening the company’s success to an orchestra, emphasizing vendors as the essential performers behind every achievement.
Before the conclusion of the program, First Balfour President and COO Joval A. Pantangco Jr. shared his deep gratitude through a striking analogy. He observed that in an orchestra, the audience often focuses solely on the music, overlooking the dedicated individuals who actually play the instruments to create it.
Comparing this to First Balfour’s success, he highlighted that while the company’s performance is what gets noticed, it is the vendors—the true performers—who work alongside them to make it happen. His remarks underscored that the strength of the company is built on this partnership, recognizing the vendors as the essential hands that bring every project to life.
