T1 Transport, through its sustainable people transport business, continues to champion eco-friendly mobility solutions for businesses and industrial sectors.

This commitment to sustainability took another step forward with the successful handover of the 100% electric Yutong shuttle bus to the Philippine Manufacturing Co. of Murata, Inc., marking another milestone in its mission to help companies such as those in First Philippine Industrial Park (FPIP) transition toward cleaner, more energy-efficient transport systems.

The 28-seater electric bus is powered by a 115.92 kWh battery, allowing it to travel up to 170 kilometers on a full charge. It will transport Murata employees between the company’s facility and FPIP Gates 1 and 2, completing around about 16 trips a day—quietly and efficiently, without the noise or emissions of traditional diesel engines.

Murata currently operates 18 diesel shuttle units, a mix of buses and vans. The arrival of its first electric bus marks the beginning of a gradual and meaningful transition toward a fully electric fleet, made possible through T1 Transport’s expertise in sustainable transport.

Founded in 2011, Murata manufactures electronic components such as Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors and has long integrated sustainability into its operations. Its partnership with T1 Transport reflects Murata’s ongoing effort to reduce its carbon footprint and promote cleaner energy across its business.

‘With an electric vehicle fleet currently serving companies like First Philec, T1 Transport continues to demonstrate its reliability and commitment to environmental performance. Recognizing their shared vision and values, Murata selected T1 Transport as its partner for its first step into electric mobility.

“We’re grateful to Murata for their trust and partnership,” says T1 Transport General Manager Levi Dy. “This milestone further strengthens our shared journey toward cleaner, more efficient mobility. We’re honored to support Murata’s sustainability goals and look forward to driving progress and innovation together.”

As more companies within FPIP take steps toward cleaner operations, T1 Transport remains at the forefront—driving safe, reliable, and sustainable mobility solutions, one electric vehicle at a time.
