T1 Rentals has expanded its transportation capabilities in Leyte with the addition of four brand-new Hino buses, which are now officially in service. The fleet expansion reflects the company’s commitment to delivering safe, efficient, and dependable transportation across the region.

Beyond improving service quality, the addition of the new buses supports T1 Rentals’ ongoing efforts to operate more sustainably. Emissions testing conducted by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) confirmed that the units meet national environmental standards. Replacing four Hiace vans with each Hino bus is projected to reduce annual emissions by approximately 59 kilograms of carbon monoxide, 10.5 kilograms of hydrocarbons, and 1.9 kilograms of particulate matter—contributing to a cleaner, more sustainable transport solution.

Overall, the shift is expected to lower carbon emissions by 7.2 tons CO₂e per month for each bus, totaling 345.6 tons CO₂e annually across all four buses.

In preparation for deployment, T1 Rentals’ drivers and operators underwent hands-on training led by Hino experts. The program covered advanced driving practices and vehicle handling, ensuring each operator is fully equipped to manage the new vehicles with confidence and precision. This initiative is part of the company’s efforts to maintain high standards in both safety and service quality, particularly within construction logistics and public transportation.

A ceremonial blessing was held on June 19, 2025 to mark the arrival of the units

More than just a logistical upgrade, the fleet expansion highlights the company’s drive to enhance transport safety and service reliability. T1 Rentals Division Head Levy Dy shares, “These new units are a direct reflection of our promise to provide safer, more reliable service to the communities we serve. Every upgrade we make is a step toward building trust on the road and beyond.”

With the new buses already in service, they stand as more than just an expansion of capacity. They represent T1 Rentals’ continued investment in safer roads, better service, and long-term sustainability—moving communities forward, one route at a time.
