First Balfour was the General Contractor for the construction of a new Meat Processing Plant mainly for hotdogs and other Purefoods-Hormel products. It consisted of two main buildings: the 25,000 sq.m. Production Building and the 3,500 sq. m. Administration Building.
Part of the project scope was the merging of the existing facility with the new construction to come up with a single production building. Also included was the construction of auxiliary buildings, a 500 sq. m. refrigeration building, salt storage, fuel pumphouse, truck scale house, covered parking and walkway, compressor house, waiting shed, basketball court, helipad, and external roads.
