First Balfour was involved in the relocation project of the 50 MW Northern Negros Geothermal Plant (NNGP) of the Energy Development Corporation (EDC) to the Southern Negros Geothermal Field in Valencia, Negros Oriental (SNGP).
Given the limited steam supply to operate its original plant site in Northern Negros, EDC decided to relocate the facility to the Southern Negros Geothermal Production Field in Nasulo, thus the project name Northern Negros to Nasulo Project or N2N.
The scope of work included site development, the design and construction of the power house building, pump houses, water tanks, cooling tower foundation access roads, and all other associated civil and structural works. First Balfour also worked on the new plant site’s lighting, fire protection, plumbing.
