The Avion Power Plant is a 97 MW dual-fired open cycle power plant in Brgy. Bolbok, Batangas City. Adjacent to the existing 1,000 MW Sta. Rita and 500 MW San Lorenzo combined cycle power plants, Avion serves as a peaker plant in that it shall run only when there is a peak demand for electricity. Being the first of its kind to run on indigenous liquid natural gas (LNG), it is the latest addition to First Gen Corporation’s leading and ever growing list of renewable energy power plants.
First Balfour’s role as general contractor on the project is one from the ground up, encompassing multiple disciplines through civil, mechanical, and electrical operations.
