T1 Rentals, together with its hauling subsidiary Therma One Transport, donated printing supplies to Talaga Central School in Tanauan City, Batangas. Located across T1 Rentals’ newly opened yard, the school received five printers, 400 reams of bond paper, and 22 sets of ink to help them provide quality learning modules for their students.
To ensure learning continuity amid the pandemic brought about by COVID-19, public schools all over the country are pushed to adopt multiple learning delivery modalities including blended learning and distance learning. Learning modules are being printed so they can be delivered to the students. “We are very lucky because it’s not every day that we get to receive such big help from private companies. These supplies will not only give them a head start in providing quality modules but it will surely help them survive in this new normal called distance learning,” shared Tanauan City Vice Mayor Atty. Herminigildo “Junjun” Trinidad during the handover ceremony.
‘’During the time when the yard was still under construction, we immediately thought of how we can give back to our new host community,” shares Tanauan Yard Project-in-Charge Aaron King. A management trainee who will soon be graduating from First Balfour’s Junior Management Training Program (JMTP), he recalls thinking of extending help to an institution that similarly hones future leaders. Aaron led the construction of the newly-opened one-hectare Tanauan Yard which was set up to quickly serve T1 Rentals’ ongoing projects in CALABARZON and the Bicol Region.
