The project involved the design, supply of materials, fabrication, construction of abutments and slabs, and the erection of a steel structure bridge over the San Juan River. The bridge is a 6-lane structure and has a span of 55.8 linear meters with a width of 29.2 meters. The steel structure rests on concrete abutment with reinforced concrete slab of 200 mm thick.
It has a 3 meter wide sidewalk with concrete barricade and aluminum pipe railing. During the erection of the bridge steel structures. First Balfour utilized 2 units of 50 ton crane and 1 unit of 150 ton crane. Two (2) sets of temporary structures were constructed between the abutments which served as temporary supports for the bridge steel girders during erection works.
