First Balfour Sponsors KCh’s LEEP Training Program
First Balfour once again partners with the Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc. (KCFI) to sponsor the Learning Effectively Through Enhanced Pedagogies (LEEP) program for selected public schools in Burgos, Ilocos Norte.
Developed by former Department of Education Secretary Dr. Fe Hidalgo and her team, the 3-day training program seeks to enable the participants from public elementary and secondary schools to use K to 12 concepts in classroom activities using enhanced pedagogies and KFCI’s educational media technology as a resource for effective learning.
A major Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity of First Balfour this year, the partnership shall benefit fifteen (15) public elementary schools (ES) in Burgos: Burgos Central ES, Burgos Agro-Industrial School, Nagsurot ES, Tanap ES, Agaga ES, Saoit ES, Bliss ES, Bayog ES, Paayas ES, Ablan Community School, Bobon ES, Davila ES, Nagabungan ES, Banban ES, and Abaca ES.
The signing event was held on July 28 and was graced by First Balfour President Anthony L. Fernandez, KCFI President Rina Lopez-Bautista, Burgos Municipal Mayor Crescente Garcia, and Dr. Fe Hidalgo.
